Directed Energy: Part I

Everyone wants better life situations.

In our bones we feel the tension from where we are to where we want to be.

In the space from where we are to where we want to be, there’s one piece missing containing two ingredients: directed energy. Without increasing your directed energy, your life can’t change its trajectory.

Directed energy is like a car. Energy is the motor, direction is the steering wheel. You can still drive if you have a partially working motor or steering wheel—but if you want to get to your desired destination, both must be fully operational.

With directed energy, excuses disappear. And after you’ve worked out the math on how increased energy and purposed direction will troubleshoot your issues, you’ll arrive with the same questions:

How do I get more energy?
How do I get better direction?

Most of us feel the pull for directed energy. We try to gain a slight advantage: earlier to bed, less carbs, nature walk, a friend’s advice, yoga class, cold shower, journaling, supplements, etc. These add flickers of direction and energy here and there. Small habits compounded can produce big change.

But if you’re really looking at increasing energy and direction, what’s your largest ROI? Instead of looking to add energy and direction, first ask: what is literally siphoning your energy? What is pointing you in the opposite direction of where you want to go?

Take all the Vitamin D you want, but a toxic relationship, toxic work environment, drugs, social media overload, addiction, broken mattress, or dead end career are directed energy destroyers. With this, healthy habits is like stepping on the gas with the e-brake up.

So if you’re looking for a directed energy boost, first invest all energy into helping what’s hurting you. Likely a part of you may come up that says, “But that’s not easy.” If so, take a pause.

Who is saying it’s not easy? Why can’t it be easy?
Likely this part is communicating it’s either lacking in energy and/or direction.

Break it down.

How can you get the required energy? Do you need to block some time off? Ask for a day off? Have a partner’s accountability? Save up more money? Eat healthier food? Give yourself permission to experience something new?

How can you get the required direction? Do you need to consult Google or ChatGPT? Ask a friend? Post for help on social media? Find a mentor? Try talking to a therapist or life coach? Turn off the phone and have an undistracted hour to brainstorm what you desire in life?

Discover who you can be with directed energy.
You’re closer than you think to experiencing the life you want to experience.
